Not everyone dreams of a huge wedding with hundreds of guests. Sometimes an intimate elopement is the perfect way to celebrate.
You get to steal away with your love and focus on just the two of you. No extravagant decorations to worry about, no deciding between fish or steak, and most importantly, no seating charts!
Christine and Mike wanted to declare their love and enjoy some time together in a new environment. So that made an elopement at the famed Tulemar Resort in Costa Rica a perfect choice.
A Photographer for Photographers
Christine and Mike are avid photographers and had admired one another’s images on a photography website long before they ever met in person.
When they did meet, their love of photography brought them even closer together. For their early dates, they went on photo expeditions in search of the perfect capture and ended up finding love.
As you can imagine, as photographers their wedding photography was very important to them. I feel honored that they chose me to capture their special day. We quickly became friends and they even brought me a gift for my new baby girl who was born just a few weeks before!
Easy Elopement Plans
Christine had wanted to return to Costa Rica since she spent two-years teaching in nearby Honduras. Getting married seemed like the perfect occasion to come back to the area!
To make things easy they let Tropical Occasions take care of all the wedding planning details. The awesome, local planner Karen made certain that everything turned out just the way they dreamed.
Christine and Mike said their vows in an intimate ceremony on the Tulemar beach in the afternoon. We decided to do the Trash the Dress session next day so we had lots of time to explore a different beach and get some great shots.
